Super Bowl Sunday Leads to Increased Car Crashes

The Super Bowl Sunday in the United States is one of the biggest sporting events in the entire nation. Several people stay at home to watch the football game. Nevertheless, many people also drive to their friends house or to a local bar to watch the game too.

While the Super Bowl is an extremely exciting time for Americans, especially for the winning team, a recent study has shown something very serious. There was an increase in car crashes after the Super Bowl. This highlights the importance of car insurance such as those offered on http://www.autonetinsurance.co.uk/car-insurance/.

The research found that the amount of car accidents in the home state of the losing team increased by 68 percent after the game. Whereas there was only a 6 percent increase of car accidents in the home state of the winning team. It seems that after the Super Bowl game many fans of the losing team do feel emotional pain and depression, leading to negligent and poor driving skills on the road.
