At least 98% of road car accidents in Ghana are attributed by human and technical errors. This recent statement in an article discusses how a number of factors can result to a high number of car accidents occurring annually.

Firstly, a lack of observation of traffic regulations and careless driving by many drivers while they are on he road, has lead to thousands of fatal accidents on the roads every year.

Some drivers also believe that car accidents are an act of God. This mentality can be dangerous as drivers are not taking full responsibility for their actions on the road.

In addition to this, car accidents in Ghana also occur more frequently due to poor road construction. The URT, which is a government multi-donor funded project will now attempt to find solutions to decrease the amount of car accidents occurring in Ghana.
